A wife reconsiders her Valentine’s Day gift to her husband. “Best Pawn Shop for Valentine’s Day,” a short story now available.
Damn, he went all out this year, she thinks. After they hang up and she cruises by the entryway near the bicycle shop, she gazes hard that way. But no silhouette of Marcus rolling a bike. She searches for music shops. All of them pop up on her map far from her location. She changes her search to pawn shops, scrolls over her map, and grimacing at the time to get there, punches in the address of the one closest to her promoting itself as the Best Pawn Shop for Valentine’s Day.
